WHAT IS TOUR BECAUSE AWESOME?

Tour Because Awesome is a yearly tour of popular Youtubers and musicians featuring Hank Green, Andrew Huang, Rob Scallon, Driftless Pony Club, and Harry and the Potters. The aim of the tour is to spread a message of positivity and inclusiveness in the Youtube community. It continues to be a great success, with crowds between 800 and 1200 people a night. The tour has also raised money for charities, pairing up with local charities in many of the cities it plays.

MY ROLE

I came up with the initial idea to do the tour, and reached out to all the people who ended up being a part of it. I was in charge of booking all shows and was also the tour manager. I also managed all promotion and social media across the artists’ platforms. Below is a promotional trailer for the tour I edited together using both fan and artist footage from the tour.
